Do you look and walk away when you are approached by someone who has tattoos all over his body? Or perhaps his entire face? Do you make a judgement about a person based on those tattoos?

Well, meet The Scary Guy. He’s real scary with tattoos all over his face and body. He’s got gold-capped teeth and studs through his eyebrows and ears. He looks like the villain in movies. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

In fact, Scary is quite possibly the most powerful Agent For Change on the planet today! He is a warrior against prejudice, hate and violence, working in schools, police-departments, detention centres and even for the American military. He uses his skin to teach people not to get fooled by their own superficial perception. Unlike the stereotype, Scary solves his conflicts peacefully, compassionately, with self control and extreme composure. He is a master of emotional intelligence. Scary is a film about a radical decision.

This film will resonate in New Zealand with the resurgence of ta moko and the still uneasy general public acceptance of the traditional facial and body markings.
