New Zealand/Australia 2006 / 23min.
Director Elizabeth Hoyle / Producer Steve Thomas

The filmmaker returns home to New Zealand to discover a little world of film in New Plymouth.
She meets a man who has transformed his house into a cinema, and in his possession a 50’s documentary made by the locals.
This is a personal figurative and literal journey for the filmmaker, beginning with the drive she takes with her father from Auckland to New Plymouth. He is a reluctant participant. The filmmaker meets the remaining elderly filmmakers, finds an array of archives, and rediscovers her hometown.
