  • Only DOCNZ complimentary passes can be used at the Festival.
  • Granton cards are not redeemable.
  • No vouchers and no free list.

* Concession prices are only available for counter bookings with a current relevant ID and proof of membership where relevant. Concession prices only apply to tickets bought for the members themselves and not for accompanying people.

** Please note that multiple ticket prices only apply to films screened in the same venue and cannot be used across different venues.

No concession available for the Opening Night Film, The 11th Hour, and the special screening of When the Levees Broke.
 

Bookings

Advance bookings can only be made from the screening venue of your chosen film.

We recommend that you book/purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointments.  Once made, bookings cannot be altered. Please choose carefully as there are no refunds.

Box office bookings will commence at each venue as follows:

  • Auckland: 7 September                                 
  • Dunedin: 11 September
  • Christchurch: 27 September                        
  • Wellington: 25 October

Disabled access

Disabled access is available at all venues. Please advise the cinema or ticket-seller when purchasing your tickets, if you have difficulty with stairs, or have any special requirements like a disabled/wheelchair seat (limited availability). Please check with the venues when booking tickets about availability of disabled toilets and wheelchair bays.

  • Academy Cinema: Lift access inside Auckland Central Library.
    During library hours please ask at library reception for access to lift.
    For after hours access or exit, please contact the cinema at least one hour before the screening of your chosen film on 09) 373 2761 to make arrangements for a security officer to meet you outside library main doors to give you access to lift and to escort you after the screening back to street level library entrance.
  • SkyCity Cinemas Queen St: Ramps are at the Aotea Square entrance, or from Wellesley Street. Lifts are on ground level. Box office is on Level 3 and access to SkyCity Cinemas is on level 4.
  • Paramount: Lift access on the ground floor to 1st Floor Box Office and Cinemas.
  • Hoyts Regent on Worcester: Disabled access available.
    Please inform the box office at the time of making booking to enquire and book disabled/wheelchair seats.
