Freedom Fuels takes an in-depth look at renewable fuel sources, such as bio-diesel, ethanol and vegetable oil and the possibility of transitioning away from a fossil fuel-based transportation system.
The film explores the interaction of the petroleum industry and alternative fuels over the last 150 years, and examines the global impact that bio-fuels can have on our future.
Environmental activists and high profile celebrities Daryl Hannah and Willie Nelson lend their weight to O’Brien’s film. In keeping with the green vision of the director, this film achieved a Carbon Free designation by offsetting all of the harmful carbon emissions, such as those created by air and vehicle travel, created in the making of this film.
