The possibility of finding love in the depths of cyberspace has never been more feasible than in our continuously expounding era of digital technology.
The years of messages in a bottle, hand-written love letters, and switch board operators has passed, and the whole world has stepped into a new life, where heartbreak patiently waits on the other end of a text message or the click of a mouse.
The PODLOVE series features five short films, all of which present a unique, and increasingly common, phenomenon of deeply emotional, human connection sparking, via a technological bridge.
Each cinematic subject has developed a dependent relationship with their computer or cell phone in some fashion, which in turn plays a significant role in their happiness and feelings of connectedness to the rest of the world.
Through the colourfully animated features in PODLOVE, an uncertain revelation occurs…how dependent are we on technology, and what is that indescribable feeling, which makes electronic love seem so very real?
