Wittenoom

World Premiere

Australia 2006 / 13min.
Director Caro MacDonald / Producer Steve Thomas

In the outback town of Wittenoom, life is becoming increasingly insular. The government claims this ex-asbestos mining town is polluted, attempting to shut the town by bulldozing buildings and cutting off power. Now nature is taking over. Yet eight determined residents of the once-boomtown remain.

A lyrical observational film about a dying town.
