Ticket prices, booking and venue details for DOCNZ 2009 Documentary Film Festival.

Ticket pricing

The following prices apply to all tickets, unless Special Pricing has been noted in session details.

Sessions Price per ticket (unless otherwise noted in session details)
Sessions starting before 5pm weekdays (Monday–Friday) $15
Sessions starting after 5pm weekdays, and all weekend (Saturday & Sunday) $15.50
Concession* (sessions starting before 5pm weekdays)

Concession* (sessions starting after 5pm weekdays, and all weekend) $13.50
Multiple Ticket Discount**
For 5 or more tickets for screenings at the same venue

For 10 or more tickets to a single screening

  • Only DOCNZ complimentary passes can be used at the Festival.
  • Granton cards are not redeemable.
  • No vouchers and no free list.

* Concession pricing available for DOCNZ Focus, Film Society, MIC, Film Industry Guilds, Students and Senior Citizens (65+).
** Discount prices for Multiple Tickets and Concession admissions are only available for counter bookings with a current relevant ID and proof of membership where relevant. Concession prices only apply to tickets bought for the members themselves and not for accompanying people. There are no discount prices for the Opening Night and Closing Night Films and those sessions where noted in the programme.

Bookings

  

Advance bookings can only be made from the screening venue of your chosen film.

We recommend that you book/purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Once made, bookings cannot be altered. Please choose carefully as there are no refunds.

Box office bookings will commence at each venue as follows:

  • Auckland: 5 Feb
  • Wellington: 20 Feb
  • Christchurch: 6 Mar
  • Dunedin: 6 Mar

  • Tournament Carpark, entrance on Kent St. Rialto customers will receive 2 hours free parking with a valid movie ticket.
  • Disabled carpark spaces are located on Osborne St.

Cinemas have limited wheelchair spaces. It is advisable to contact the cinema to reserve this area.

Please advise the cinema or ticket-seller when purchasing your tickets, if you have difficulty with stairs, or have any special requirements like a disabled/wheelchair seat (limited availability). Please check with the venues when booking tickets about availability of disabled toilets and wheelchair bays.
