- The Carole Dean Seminar: The Art of Funding (Nov 6–7)
Here is your chance to get your next documentary project off the ground. Carole Dean will run a 2-day seminar on the art of funding, including one-on-one mentoring.
- DOCNZ 2007 Awards Night (Oct 1)
International and New Zealand feature, medium and short-length documentary films compete for cash prizes and top honours. Come and walk down the red carpet, have a drink, meet the filmmakers, and celebrate the achievements of 2007 with us.
- DOCNZ Summit 2007: Currency and Convergence (Sept 24–26)
Currency and Convergence and will bring together local and overseas documentary film-makers, academics, industry guilds, broadcasters, buyers,
exhibitors and distributors to discuss the latest trends and issues facing documentary filmmakers.

- Capture: Youth Unscripted
Filmmaking workshop (held 20 April 2007) and documentary competition (Entry deadline: 11 June 2007) for high school students in Auckland City.
- Australian International Documentary Conference (Feb 23–26)
The AIDC is a must–attend four day event for the factual film and broadcasting industry, attracting over 600 national and international delegates. We focus on debate, discussion and deal-making opportunities. In addition, masterclasses and forums raise and explore current challenges and showcase work.
