Events Australian International Documentary Conference

The AIDC is a must–attend four day event for the factual film and broadcasting industry, attracting over 600 national and international delegates. We focus on debate, discussion and deal-making opportunities. In addition, masterclasses and forums raise and explore current challenges and showcase work.

February 2007 sees AIDC coming of age with it’s 20th birthday. Documentary makers from around Australia and the world will join together in Adelaide to explore ideas, share experiences, showcase work, make deals and get inspired.

AIDC is a key event on the International Documentary circuit. The 2007 program looks at what inspires us, how to use new tools and techniques and what are current best practice models in factual filmmaking, as well as providing stimulating marketplace opportunities.

2007 featured guest include Diane Weyermann, the executive producer of An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore’s call for action on climate change, which has sent ripples of change across the world. Also UK producer/director, Michael Waldman, responsible for some of the world’s finest programmes such as Operatunity.
