Auckland 23–25 Feb 2009
DOCNZ Summit is an annual industry event that includes seminars, master-classes, a pitching forum and a market place. The Summit is place to learn and network with local and international professionals from the industry.
The DOCNZ Market with a Digital Library will be introduced in 2009 as a further trade initiative to bring international buyers to New Zealand.
As part of the Trust’s objectives to create opportunities and collaborations for filmmakers, The Documentary New Zealand Trust has organised a Pitching Forum.
The DOCNZ Pitching Forum is a significant opportunity for filmmakers to pitch their project to a panel of local and overseas commissioning editors, buyers and other funders.
DOCNZ seeks projects that are challenging and innovative not just in its subject matter, but also its treatment and delivery. We are prioritising:
From the submissions, eight to twelve filmmaking teams will be selected. The selected applicants will also attend a Masterclass on Pitching prior to the Pitching Forum.
Submissons are now open and must reach our offices no later than 4pm, 31 July 2008.
Both the masterclass and the pitching form will be in front of an audience. Applications for audience members will be open closer to the time.
