DOCNZ Summit is New Zealand’s annual documentary industry event. The 4th DOCNZ Summit will be held in Auckland from 27 Feb to 3 March 2010.
To celebrate with the Summit’s theme of documentary and cross-over media, we are introducing a new initiative, The DOCNZ Lab, to run in the first two days (27 and 28 Feb).
Applications will soon be called for teams with films in production, post production, or developing projects, who are looking at new ways to deliver their documentary projects using cross-platfrom and emerging media.
Up to 10 projects (each project will have 2-3 creatives) will be selected from submissions. We are looking for innovation and encourage teams comprising of creatives from all fields like filmmaking, graphic design, web design, gaming and live performance.
The Lab will be run by Wendy Levy from BVAC (USA) with more international guests to be confirmed soon. An official call for project submissions for DOCNZ Lab will be made in early November.
The Summit will be held in Auckland from 1-3 March and as in the past, it will include master-classes, seminars, one-on-one meetings and the popular pitching forum (see below). Registrations for the Summit will be open in November with an early bird special.
We are now accepting submissions to the next pitching forum which will be held during DOCNZ Summit 2010.
